Death is always closer than you think.
A drunk driver hit a tree right outside our house tonight. This was his 4th DUI. Please, answer me this: what the hell was he doing driving? He could have killed somebody. And he lives right near us.
He was carried out of his totaled car on a stretcher.
I'm still shaken.

Hey Erik! Its Lizzy. Yikes thats scary. One of my the girls on the team that I was coaching heard it and saw the people pulling him out and all that good stuff. She didnt understand at all. It was kind of sad to hear what you said and then to hear this 8 or 9 year-old-girl. It really reminded me of how nieve we were at one point. Its kind of scary actually.
